MEET DR PATRICK OBASI

MD, FACS, FAACS

Dr. Obasi is a diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery (ABCS) and the American Board of Surgery (ABS), making him one of the few surgeons in Texas with double board certifications. He is also proud to be a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) as well as the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (FAACS).
With an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, he earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and biochemistry at the University of Texas Arlington and continued studying at Howard University College of Medicine. He excelled in medical school, receiving the American Medical Student Association’s Exemplary Leadership Award as chapter president. Howard University Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation honored him with their Research Fellowship Awards. Dr. Obasi received the Graduating Students’ Award for Courage and Perseverance from Howard University College of Medicine and the Community Outreach Scholarship granted by the Academy of Family Physicians to the most outstanding student in the class.

At Graduate Hospital Philadelphia, he received the Surgical Excellence Award during his general surgery residency. This honor is bestowed upon the resident who achieved the top score in the American Board of Surgery In-Training Examination and demonstrated unsurpassed surgical skills. He completed a surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. After accepting a cosmetic surgery fellowship, he relocated to California to train under Dr. Jacob Haiavy, a leader in the field.

With surgical training completed, Dr. Obasi set out to gain a broad background in clinical experience. He returned to Texas, to the state and people he loves, to practice as a general, trauma, and laparoscopic surgeon. He worked as an emergency room physician, as well. He served as chief of surgery and trauma medical director at these posts and was an executive member of the board of directors.

Dr. Obasi is acknowledged as a Top Surgeon by the International Association of Healthcare Professionals (IAHCP). He has also been accepted by the American Institute of Plastic Surgeons (AIPS) as one of the “Ten Best Plastic Surgeons in Texas” (This is a prestigious honor given to the surgeon who has attained the highest degree of professional achievement in their field and has done so with an impeccable Patient Satisfaction rating).

He has also been honored as one of the Top 10 Plastic Surgeons in the country by the National Academy of Plastic Surgeons (NAOPS).He has had many peer-reviewed articles published in professional journals. Dr. Obasi holds privileges at many hospitals in Texas.

MEET DR. RUTH OLUMBA

DO, MPH, FAACS, FACOG, NCMP

Dr. Olumba (formerly Arumala) is a triple board certified Cosmetic Surgeon and Gynecologist, a fellowship-trained Reproductive Surgeon & a fellowship-trained Cosmetic Surgeon, making her one of the few surgeons in Texas with specialized training in both Gyn & Cosmetic Surgery. Her dedication to providing exceptional care is underscored by her recent certification by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and continued accreditation by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, adding to her already impressive credentials. With this unique background, Dr. Olumba provides a holistic approach to women’s health, wellness, and beauty. Her practice specializes in body contouring, mommy makeovers, body restoration after massive weight loss & vaginal rejuvenation.
Ruth Olumba, DO, MPH, FAACS, FACOG, NCMP, received her medical degree from Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine in New Jersey, her Master of Public Health from Mercer University School of Medicine, and completed her Ob-Gyn specialty training at Georgetown University. After practicing as a solo provider in a boutique OBGYN practice, Dr. Olumba was selected to attend one of two prestigious dual-accredited American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery facial and general cosmetic surgery fellowships in the United States. During this intense hands-on training, she learned the science and art of restoring the body to aesthetically pleasing forms while minimizing and mitigating complications. She has lived and practiced medicine in several cities in the United States and abroad. Her medical and surgical experiences allow her to relate to women across various cultures uniquely.
Receiving national recognition for her astounding work, Dr. Olumba has been featured in several media publications, including Glamour, Ebony, Parents & Forbes magazines. Additionally, she has won 12 awards for her work in the past three years, including 2020 National Minority Quality Forum’s 40 Under 40 Leaders in Minority Health; Fort Worth Magazine “Top Docs” Tarrant County for Ob-gyn in 2020, 2021 & 2022; Texas Super Doctors Rising Stars in 2020, 2021 & 2022, and Women in Medicine’s “Top Ob-Gyn” Fort Worth in 2020 & 2021. She is the first awardee to receive the White Dress Project Blossom Award for her work in fibroid education twice in 2020 and 2023.

Dr. Olumba is a prolific speaker who has graced the stage as a keynote speaker, panelist, and session coordinator in major national and international conferences. Dr. Olumba’s passion for enriching the everyday woman with a wealth of knowledge translates weekly through her voice as the hostess of the “Pretty in Pink” podcast. This digital platform engages topic experts with discussions on real-life issues such as family dynamics, relationships, fitness, finances, fertility & fibroids. When not seeing patients, Dr. Olumba enjoys training for fitness competitions with her husband, traveling to exciting locations, and studying beauty/ fashion trends across the globe.

MEET DANA BINGHAM, AESTHETIC NURSE PRACTITIONER

MSN, APRN, FNP-C

Dana Bingham is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in the field of Aesthetics and Cosmetic Surgery. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing with a minor in Healthcare Management from Baptist College of Health Sciences located in Memphis, Tennessee. She went on to earn a Master of Science Degree in Nursing—Leadership and Management from Western Governors University. After relocating to Dallas from Los Angeles, California, she returned to school to complete a Post Master’s Certification for Family Nurse Practitioner at The University of Texas at Arlington. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Dana is an active member of the American College of Nurse Practitioners. She has 13 years of healthcare experience. Prior to joining Noble Cosmetic Surgery, she worked in varied specialties, including acute care, clinical research, case management, and travel nursing. Dana works closely with Dr. Obasi and is involved in the entire continuum of patient care, from consultation throughout surgery and follow-up care. She is passionate about aesthetics and genuinely enjoys being there for patients throughout their surgical journey.
